The start of our long awaited caravan trip.

Today we left Sydney and met up with our friends at Bowral to start our trip across the Nullabour. Our first night we are at the Wagga Wagga caravan park.

We met a couple who were here and owned a trike. He even allowed us to sit on it. I must say really quite comfy although I don't think I could do a long trip on one of these.

New placemats for the caravan

After spending the past 2 days cleaning and preparing the caravan for our trip across the Nullabour I decided to spend today making some new placemats.
I think I have gone red crazy not really one of my favourite colours but so many things in the van are reddish it seemed the right colour to use.
We leave next Monday, meeting up with our caravaning buddies Lance and Carol at Bowral, then head of to Port Augusta in South Australia. I have waited a long time for this trip so am super excited.
The layette was finished and has been posted to my son Joshua and his wife Robyn in Ballarat.
Now to get some stitching ready to take on our trip.

FNWF

Tonight I am finishing of my knitting. I have been re-knitting
the bonnet and booties to an old baby set for my new wee Grand daughter due in April. I was very surprised that my son asked if he could borrow the layette to bring home his little daughter from the hospital. I was thrilled and proud. His Grand mother knitted this layette for his sister some 40 years ago. I am sure their little one will look so beautiful.
I have also been working on making a table centre piece for our kitchen table. I know this is my year of finishing projects already started but this
little project is achievable in a few hours.
I have also finished my cross stitch or Chicken scratch tablecloth for my friend Carol. I love how it looks and I hope Carol will love it too
